QUANTIC DREAM was founded in 1997 by David CAGE. Since its creation, France's largest independent video game studio has gained an international recognition for its contribution to interactive narration and its fresh thinking on emotion in games. We believe that games should be more than toys, a new type of experience provoking the same level and diversity of emotional responses from audiences as the best movies we've seen.
The studio has collaborated in the past with major publishers including Eidos, Vivendi Univeral Games, Microsoft Game Studios and Atari. We created games like OMIKRON-THE NOMAD SOUL featuring recording artist David Bowie and more recently, FAHRENHEIT.

Today, we have a unique infrastructure adapted to next generation production, including a large motion capture set (28 Vicon MX40 cameras) coupled with a state of the art 3D scanner (3dMd) allowing us to create true Virtual Actors. Over the last ten years we have developed proprietary technologies, including some very advanced display, editing and effects tools and a unique approach to the production pipeline of real-time 3D graphics. Quantic Dream currently has 22 full time employees in its R&D department representing 1/3 of its total team.
THE CASTING, a technical real-time demo on PlaystationTM 3, showcased how these technologies and creative direction will be used in our next title Heavy Rain to create virtual actors with striking realism.

In i3DPost, Quantic Dream will lead the user-related work in the games production area, formulating user requirements and scenarios, testing the integration of tools and plug-ins with its in-house systems, supplying digital face and character models for research, carrying out experimental production and showcase activities.
